OUCH!!! Talk about getting spanked. First you already realized your first mistake of business, NEVER EVER, I can't stress that enough, NEVER EVER, NEVER EVER, NEVER EVER, rely on one client. Your largest client should not exceed 10% of your business. I learned that the hard way too. Client suddenly shut down and I lost 25% of my work. Never stop marketing, never stop growing, never stop picking up new clients. I'm e-mailing you a copy of the Hot List and a copy of the S*** List. Both lists were compiled by the membership of SOT. The first is a list of clients that most of us serve and we pass it to anyone that requests it. All we ask is that you add to the list with any clients that you serve, and that company covers at least 4 or 5 states, then everyone can benefit. I have a master list of both lists and keep it up to date with clients that anyone is willing to send me. The S*** list is a list of clients that different abstractors have had problems collecting their fees from, either slow-pay, partial pay, or no-pay. I would also try to find out how you lost the one customer, even if you don't get them back, so it won't happen again. Call me at 314-842-8329 or e-mail me and let me know how you are doing. Jay
