I agree with what you said. Want to point out that my listing with Source of Title has gotten me a few contacts. They actually read back to me my notes in my listing, such as 15 years experience searching titles, e & o insurance. So when you post your listing information on Source of Title it would benefit you to list your qualifications. I notice that on my County's listing site, there are many abstractors listed stating that they cover my county plus up to 100 or more counties. I am told that I am being called because I only have one county listed. I only search one county. I have figured out that all the other abstractors listed in the same county I am in will probably be calling me to subcontract any search that they might get. No way that some of those abstractors listed can cover every county in three states. One abstractor from a town about an hour and a half away posted their fees which undercuts mine. Que Sera!!!! Thanks for the website and I will become a certified listing to pay you guys back after Uncle Sam gets paid and business picks up. As for fees, I have not lowered mine and don't plan to. As for pictures of houses, thats the the appraiser's job. When would I have time to do the searches. As for soliciting more contracts from other companies, I would love to have more business and hire someone to help me but I have to talk to someone about paying SS tax etc. on an employee. Sounds like too much paperwork and money to Uncle Sam. Comments please on hiring employees and how you pay their salary. Thanks gotta go search now........
