I agree with all that has been brought forward about pricing issues. We have been tempted to lower our prices in order to increase volume but have not given in...yet. I think that if we were to ever lower our prices to the previously mentioned $40.00 that I would seek employment in another field. This concerns me as the job market is not a desirable place to shop these days. I do no want to be ridiculous or unrealistic but I wonder if there is something we can do. It seems that we are all concerned, not only for ourselves, but for the interest of the companies we work for. If we were to compose a letter addressing our concerns (fly-by-nighters, uninsured, inexperienced, lack of time and attention paid, underpricing, etc.)and perhaps even fax it around to collect signatures, then send it to all the companies on the hot list, maybe that would be a step in the right direction. Certification and licensing will not occur soon enough for many of us to benefit. This may be naive but perhaps it will reach someone if the letter is powerful enough. Our numbers are strong and at the very least, it may be good advertising for SOT and our "society."
Just A Thought,
Ted
