In Alabama....A PMM is a mortgage recorded the same day as the vesting deed. It's only a good PMM, though, if it's in favor of a well established, reputable bank or mortgage company (credit unions and 'fly by nights' don't count). A PMM search for me means go back until you find one, up to 40 years, depending on the client. If I don't find a good PMM in 2 or 3 owners, about 20 - 30 years, I call the client to ask if they want me to keep going.
