sorry about the break there....2. i've been doing this work an a PROFESSIONAL abstractor for over 15 years. have always gotten along great with people working for the title companies. (even though, as we all know, some of these people had never even been in a registry, some companies might think we have enough information on the search with (duh) a P.O. address. but wait. they own 15 properties in this town.) you get it.my point is, there has been a real change over the past couple of months working with the companies. it is becoming all about money, not quality or experience. 3. robert & slade, you have done all of us out there such a great service. we've sort of become family. but...i wonder if we haven't shot our own selves in the foot. with the SOT HOT list and the shit list? (i'm so guilty of that one).just wanted to be helpful. what i mean by shot in the foot? i was nice and nieve enough to point out this website to another. who had no experience in title searching. and guess what folks? undercutting.....ethics? morals? uh huh. just "lost" one of my good companies, due to the fact that she proposed to do the search for five bucks less. even though they acknowledge the professionalism of my work.(8 years with them). i know things have slowed down all over the place, but are we being replaced by "fly-by-nights" en mass? anyway, to close this long winded note, i'm just feeling a strange change in the business, and don't think i'm alone. thanks you guys. monica-from-maine p.s. robert. not in the mood to do spell check.deal with it. K?
