Honeslty, I just logged on today to ask people what they thought about ALTA. I checked their website the other day and saw how high their fees were. I did not know if it would be worth it. I also checked the Pennsylvania Land Title Association and their fees were more reasonable, although I don't know how the benefits compair.

I was looking for an organization that would provide me with information on new laws that affect the title industry. It looks like ALTA offers Continuing Education classes. But if there are like the ones I went to when I worked for a settlement company, they were not always relevant. Some people were just trying to get their credits.

I am interested in the health insurance. I'm not sure the cost and coverage, but now I pay for my whole family on an individual policy through Blue Cross and it is quite pricey. My husband's job does not offer insurance.

I would like to hear everyone's thoughts too!
