Don't let that rattle you...I don't think they meant that they're getting rid of you. Some clients will sometimes put a vendor on their "inactive" list when they get notice of a circumstance such as you described.

When you finish your project, call them back and let them know you are available. I'm sure you'll start getting orders from them again.
