We are independent abstractors that covers 6 counties in Maryland (my husband and I). We actually hired someone to help us write up title. We usually do about 20/25 searches a day. I don't know if that is good or bad but I got to take today off too. I did everything yesterday that was due today. I needed to advertise on this website so I have talked to Robert today. I also called the "Yellow Pages" to place an ad. It has slowed down some but I am already working up the stuff that I have to do tomorrow. I have 2 settlements tonight, so I am leaving at 4pm. I should have slept some extra today but I decided to solicit some business. Take a deep breathe/enjoy the day. It is 80 degrees here in Maryland. Sometimes, just to see what is going on, I call a fellow abstractor here and ask her if she is busy or have I made 1/2 of my clients mad. She always assures me that I am doing well.
