Christina, call your client & see what info they need. Most just want the plaintiff, defendant, bk/pg, filing date & principal amt. Some want the plaintiff's atty. info. I include all that & usually make a copy but depending on the client & what you have worked out with them, you may or may not get paid for your "extra" copies. If they want copies of everything & you have a lot of them, you should call them & let them know. Most companies I do work for do not have a problem w/that. I just charge cost. If you have a client that has a lot of bad searches maybe you should just adjust your fee if they will not pay for the extra copies. Or be done with them! There are some current owner searches I do where the lien part takes longer than the real estate does. You have to be able to determine how far you will go w/expenses for a certain client & look at the whole picture; if they are worth your time, effort & expertise!
