Thanks for the comments,I couldn't agree more about the fun. To me they like a jig saw puzzle that needing to be put together to form a clear picture. And the stories they tell, I am glad that I love history.

Well, my base charge includes about 4 hrs. research time, after that I call the client to inform where I am at, where I need to go next and that the rate will be hourly. So, we are on the same page on that point.

The question is that do I take a retainer to cover my expenses. Otherwise, I will have to wait it out for thirty-days before receiving payment.
