I often get asked if my last name is real or not.  Not only now that I am a title insurance examiner, but in my previous job as a Deputy Register of Deeds.  My mother was Grace Land and once won $1000 from a radio station that was doing a tribute to Elvis and wanted Grace Land to call in.  She did and she won.  My dad had an unusual first name, Holwell, but most just called him Hol.  Hol Land.  My favorite threat to both of them was to name my first born Disney.  Don't worry.  I didn't.
