Robert,
perhaps one of the things that you may want to explore at
the upcoming conference is setting up a self insured fund
for members of the association. The biggest expenses for
self employed abstractors seems to be the insurances that
need to be carried. The most useful thing that an
association could do would be to find a method of
providing both e&o insurance and health insurance at
affordable group rates.
I represented some clients years ago that found the
self insured route the most cost efficient way to go.
