Actually Data Trace has a system called Data Tree.  They are 80% owned by Land America & 20% owned by First American.  However First American is in charge of the operations aspect.  First Ameican has numerous  subsideraries.  They are all pretty much operated on there own.  The First American that sent out the bullitan probably doesn't even use Data Trace or Data Tree (their sister company).  First American is famous for in house competition & scwabbles
Data Trace actually goes to the counties that they are operational in & buys the records from the County & posts it to their own system.  In Cleveland they have a pretty good plant for Cuyahoga County,  but I have heard that some of there other counties are not very acurate.
Another interesting note.  They are also outsourcing some of
their posting positions to India because it is cheaper.
