Lorretta,

I am a member of the National Notary Association. I did it because I wanted to start working for the mortgage lending industry directly instead of loan signing agencies. Now that I have established myself I will not be renewing the membership. I have a lot of issues about this organization. In my opinion they do nothing for notaries. They are misrepresenting the industry in the manner most of you feel the title searching industry is misrepresented. They make it sound that if you just join them pay for THEIR products, take THEIR courses you too will be making thousands a month. The National Notary Organization is a multi million dollar company... check out their CEO's salary sometime. I think that my dealings with them (do you know they advertise a help line that you pay for by the minute? They don't make that clear when you join) that makes me feel so strongly that the title association needs to include everyone who wants to have a say and a vote... sorry guys I know this is a sore subject. Unfortunately the companies I wanted to work for consider them god. I was stuck as a new loan signing agent to follow the program. There are far better books, far better schools, courses you name it... but they have the big bucks to advertise.

Okay... enough said.

Judy
