Many of the title companies in Ohio use no compete clauses, but generally for managers, or high level people. I've never really been a fan of them myself, it seems like indentured servitude. Of course, I've never had an employee leave to start a competing buisiness, that might change my mind. That being said, here in Ohio the contracts are enforcable to a degree, but it always seems to be a big pain for both sides if it ends up in court. I agree with the earlier post that if you do want to pursue this, you should fork over the money to your attorney to insure the agreement fits your requirements exactly. Doug
