In my editing, I removed the info on where I work. I'm in North Carolina. I cover Buncombe, Henderson, Polk, Rutherford and McDowell counties -- all of which have been hit hard by companies shutting down.

Rutherford County has the highest unemployment in the State, but that's where I live, so I cover that county.

Another thing that has cost me business is that several of my attorneys have left the profession. They're burned out,too.

One left to run a real estate school. One left to manage his own real estate holdings. I saw him the other day. He said one reason he got out was because he couldn't get any associates who would work. They all wanted to be lawyers, but they didn't want the hassle that goes with the title.

I'm keeping my options open -- just in case the whole profession folds down here.
