I rec'd the same fax and while I value this customer, I can not promise an 8 hr. turn-around.  I have a hard enough time meeting the 24 hr. turn-around time that so many companies are now asking for. Georgia has 159 counties & I cover 9; only 3 have a fax.  No internet access!  This company stated they would prefer one who only covers 1 or 2 counties!  Most of the counties I cover are rural.  I couldn't make a decent living covering 1 or 2 counties. This company sent me an order yesterday but it still had the the 24 hr. time + copies.  I had it back to them in less than 24 but much more than 8. All I can say is that, I do the best I can & deliver quality work to them.  But no way will I devote myself just to them & let my other clients work be thrown by the wayside.  I'm sure they would not want their order thrown aside.  As an independent with no employees, it's a little harder to meet all the demands of all of these companies.   I am finding more & more, they are all requiring faster turn-arounds.    I do the best I can and I guess they can go find someone else to do it faster.
  By the way, there is a notice posted in one county's record room--"Become a title examiner-$69 advance, $99 at the door---6 hr. course".  Supposedly endorsed by a title company--but if you read it, it's more for realtors.  Wonder how many companies will give work to a "title examiner" w/this 6 hr. course!!!
