Amen to this!  And I intend to start doing it right away.  With the exception of 3S RealServe, I have not had any trouble in the past collecting my money, but since everything started slowing down 3-4 months ago, it has been nearly impossible to get companies to send payment.

I'm sitting here this morning faxing out "Past Due/Please Remit" notices to 4 companies.  Accelerated Title owes me back to December.  I have informed them I have now posted on various boards frequented by abstractors that Accelerated does not pay.  I have also promised if I don't receive payment by Monday, I will file a complaint with the BBB.

I don't like to have to do things like that, but I'm not in this to give away my services.  Gas prices are ridiculous, and copies aren't free.  These companies shouldn't order the work if they're not going to pay.  And we shouldn't let them get away with not paying.
