No it isn't hard for me to believe. But I don't see NALTEA as bettering the industry. It doesn't offer a solution to any of the problems I have seen voiced by other independent abstractors here. In fact your support of some of the very people who have brought down the standards of the industry will likely result in a worsening of the problems.
What requirements are you talking about that would in any way limit the non-abstractors I am talking about. Your only requirement that I have seen for a non-abstractor to declare themselves one is the monetary gain these members would bring to the association.
By the way, you still didn't answer why you are now seeking more members to the membership committee. It was filled when I left and remained filled after I left according to the 5-7 rule you wanted. And why the call for members even if they won't be attending the conference? Will they be able to vote at the conference if they are not there? Maybe this rule has changed since I left but I remember you and Robert wanting absentee voting to be prohibited. Will there be exceptions for those who serve on committees prior to the conference?
