WOW. $30 is a big big price cut.  OUCH.   I am happy to help out the fellow abstractor in my area.,  We all may need a favor one day.  I do em for $25 and they do the same for me.  It is nice when someone is on vacation to have help and I return the favor.  But, that is where it ends!  I would love everyone in my area to set a "standard" but the poeple around here are so competitive and cut throat, it would never happen.  We have to cover our papers in the courthouse while doing our work just so no one can see who my client is.  Which is really hard to do when you have to use a form that everyone knows, like Greenlink or Chesapeake Appraisal.  Who knows what the future brings as far as pricing goes.  I just wish that everyone woiuld be fair to each other.  We all have to make a living.  Why bring the whole industry down by cutting prices so low?  It may be good for their pocket right now, but in the long run, it will be bad for everyone!!!
