Well, why didn't you just ask that?
I think what most of us have been talking about in reference to pricec cuts are most new people in the industry with less that a year or so experience cutting their prices to gain clientele. And I am not bad mouthing those new to the industry. I am sure if they were trained properly they are doing well. It is the self taught people that bother me personally. But some of the new ones to this biz just don't ask about pricing and make up some number. Not realizing what the 'going rate is' Most times, when I get a new client, I ask the range of fees they have been paying in my area. I don't want to just say, 'what do you want to pay" and in asking for a 'range' I can go somewhere in the middle. If they like my work and know I can give them the quality product they will pay the extra 5-10 bucks for it.
