What exactly do you have in mind? A standard fee across the country or a standard fee for you to charge your clients?
Fees across the county vary drastically. I have heard of people charging as much as $100 for a current owner. Mine are only $35-40, which may sound too low to those who charge over $75, but that is the average here in my areas. I think a abse fee for everyone to go by would be really difficult to do.
I have a set guideline for all my clients. A current owner is a current owner no matter what client orders it. Some are messy to do and others are a piece of cake. But it is still just a current owner search. But if they want copies, like most the foreclosure companies want, then I charge $1.00 per page, even though the clerk only charges $.50 a page. I feel that if I am going to abstract all the info out from the document, then that should be enough. If they want a copy, they pay for my extra time to make it. That copy time isn't included in the search fee.
But this is only my opinion.
