The title company wrote me a bad check and their attorney (a friend of mine) and my attorney (former states attorney in Maryland for 15 years) told me to pay it off. In Maryland, the person that endorses the check on the back to be cashed is responsible for paying a check back if it is not payable by the company that wrote the check. I also spoke with several other attorney friends of mine.

I have also decided that since they (the attorney) gets paid an awful amount of money in settlements that I have enrolled in University of Maryland for a Bachelors degree in Business Management and will go to the University of Baltimore School of Law after my bachelors.

Also, since the recent (within the last year) influx of "title plants" are trying to push all the independents out of the abstracting business, I am going to take back what I have worked for. The title plants are not going  to win, I am.
