Eesh. We've just started working with them and I wish I'd known to search more than "reviews" under their listing. We do work in 15 states for the heavy hitters and recently signed up with SL. You can't upload your work, you're supposed to input everything line-by-line into their system, including the Legal description typed out for them.
They told us they'd include a separate bill if copies were required and that current owner searches don't require copies, nor do updates. So... we do the work sans copies then they reject the order for no supporting docs. Then it's a new doc retrieval order for a deed. Then 2 days later it's a rejected order for no pertinent pages and they need those. We have orders that they've considered "late" for over a week because they keep asking for docs they didn't request at the beginning. They're the orders that never die. When we called to clarify why they initially don't ask for docs, then keep rejecting orders for lack of docs, we were told that some of the bigger abstractors don't charge for copies so they would hope we'd just include them initially without a separate request. Huh?
We have over 100 clients and they all accept our attached invoices except these guys want us to use their invoice. After the problems we've had with the orders and having read the problems here, we're very concerned about getting paid.
And forget about reaching anyone by phone.
