Beleive me Kelly, NALTEA is working on just that as we speak. We have has much progress over the past few weeks about a certification program. Once that is in place, we plan on contacting legislature to push the issue on a statewide level. And if the state won't hear it, I am sure the big insurance companies like Lawyers Title, Fidelity and Chicago will be happy to help us. Afterall, it is their insurance policies on the line if the abstractors used mess up, along with abstractors e&o of course. It is good to know so many of us want this licensing to go thru.
Let me know if you have any ideas about what you would like to see as requirements for certification.
