I'm sorry, but I didn't think Mr. Roach sounded like "chicken little".  He merely presented some macro-economic concepts, and ended with the question "What are we going to do about it?".   I think he is suggesting that we consider the potential impact of global labor arbitrage and be proactive in preparing for the possible implications, both good and bad.
I, too, feel strongly that the people of the United States will be able to meet this challenge, but it is always a good idea to consider the possible changes ahead in order to appraise best what is the challenge, in order to best determine how to improvise, adapt, and overcome.  Doug
