Thanks for the info.  Now one more question.  Which version did you use?  I've found Map Point 2002 on eBay, as well as the 2004 edition.  Of course, 2002 is less expensive. Any idea about the differences in them? 

Obviously 2004 will have all the "latest" features, but might 2002 do a decent job?

Looks like my children's project is going to come together after all.  (Gotta have something to do when I'm not searching titles!)
