They vary from state to state. Even county to county. In Florida they may be filed under the persons name or the bank name. It really depends on the clerk down here. Sometimes they are not even filed. If a bank buys or takes over another bank............you lose the chain. Unless you know about the purchase. Sometimes they take so long to do that they are not even worth it. But the banks want them so we research and get them. Good talking to you the other day.
