Yes, I have E&O insurance.
All of the companies that I do work for have asked for a copy of my declaration page.
I do not know of one company that I do work for that would let me continue to abstract
if I did not have coverage. I have never been refused work because of not having E&O. I got my
policy the day that I stopped working at the title company and became a full time self-employed abstractor.
I got my insurace from Chesapeake Insurance in Annapolis, Maryland and also got a quote from TIAC.
My E&O policy is $1,800 for 2 full time employees and $500,000/$1,000,000 policy.

Hope it helps.
Loretta
