Here, if you are lucky, the clerk will allow a fax machine but it has to be accessible to EVERYONE!!  So usually, the regular abstractors pitch in & buy the fax. (Often has to be replaced)!  But any abstractor or anyone can use it--the county's rules.  The county is paying for the phone line!! (Which is also hooked up to a regular phone).  No long distance but a calling card works.
