Every courthouse I go to except for 2 do not have fax machines.  And one of them is MINE, all mine.  I pay for the line in the courthouse and it is my machine.  But I let everyone use it anyway.  And don't ask anyone to help pay for it.  Many of our courthouses allow companies to have our own phone lines inside the record room, that we pay for ourselves.  And then there are those couple who allowed someone to bring in a fax machine and use a county phone line.  Keeping in mind those counties we use their lines, those machines are for everyone to use.  We have also made sure that those public fax machines do not have a banner that prints out on the other end when you recieve.
But yes, we too have those people who have their own desks and ask you not to be in their space and whom have their own machines and pictures and such there.  We just ignore them.
Our counties are pretty fair when it comes to them helping us out.  Afterall, we bring in alot of revenue for them and help get them elected.  So they help when they can and listen to our ideas.
