I have seen a new (to me) type of collection agency where they tack the fee (whatever the % is) to the money owed and charge the person that owes the bill the fee and not take it from the person that is owed the money. I think that this is a great idea. For example, right now I have one company that owes me $250. If I send it to this specific collection agency, they send the letter demanding the $250 plus their fee which is $25. This way, I am not having to pay a portion of what is due to me to the collection agency and the company that owes me the money gets charged the fee instead so I get my $250 and they get their $25.

I like this idea.
