NO NO NO, these online classes are just AWFUL!!  You really need to see if your community college has a class first.  Take it! Though the class is not enough to go search titles, it will get you familiar with some terms and procedures to let you make a more informed decision if you really want to be an abstractor.  THEN, get a job with a title company or an attorney who can properly train you.  Getting the proper training is the only way to be good at your job.  It is not a self taught profession by any means.
