I'd just like to add an angle to what you've already put so well.  People (entities) who borrow money should be charged interest.  Some of the robot, clone companies don't seem to understand the concept of late fee.

I employ two price schedules.  One for good customers, and one that accounts for ahem, interest.  If you don't want to pay the bozo rate, don't act like a bozo (no offense to a fine retired clown in Chicago).
