Yes, we will use deed of trust/mortgage together.
Here in Virginia, we use metes and bounds AND lot and block. We do not have townships and boroughs, we have cities and counties, and i don't mean a city inside of a county like in PA, i mean they are each their own jurisdiction. We also do not have prothonotary like PA (I am from there), in Va, they are all court based. Our land records are in the Circuit Court office. And after meeting everyone in Columbus, we all seem to have different recording fees and procedures as well.
We have thought about a state seperated test but at the present time, we do not have a NALTEA member in every single state to be able to have a rep for each one. Maybe as time progresses and NALTEA becomes bigger, we can change to fit and be able to accomplish that task,
