Just to correct the misinformation already supplied and to answer your question, I work for Datatrace. Datatrace is owned by First am, LandAmerica and Experian. Here in NJ, we do have an abstracting division and currently employ 40+ abstractors, with the majority (35+) who at one time were independent abstractors.
