Dear Donna - My first question is - I hope you quoted this for a commercial search and what did you quote this company?  Second of all on all commericial searches I say it is a "starting" rate because of the complexity of some and I will not do a 1,000,000 commercial valued property for the same amount as a 200,000 commercial value property.  So if this was me at this point #1 I would tell them I need "x" more dollars for the search.  Then I have ways if you want to email me to help you out in finding that extra 6 acres pretty quick.  I really like to help out people I know that are qualified but not those who are doing the business w/o extensive knowledge - they would just mess it up more - I see you were a paralegal like me.
