I am also concerned with the exporting of this country's public records.  While I firmly believe that our public records need to remain open to the public, I fear that the wide dissemination over the Internet is a dangerous thing, especially when they are sent to India, China, and the Philippines (as well as other locations around the world).

As for them being listed on SOT - we have created an open directory and allow anyone to list their services - so long as they are related to the title industry.  It is up to the consumers to decide whether or not they want to use the services offered.  We do not "censor" our listings.
