Although I don't do title seaches for the same reason most of you do them I do have a need for the information.  I was asked to perform a boundary survey in an area that I knew had a checkered title history.  I asked for what the title company had and they gave me a single sheet of paper with around 11 transactions listed.  Being the sceptic I when to the court house and did my own search.  Within about three hours I came away with around 40 relevant records including a judgement against the property.  None of what I was given from their automated seach was close to providing all the information I needed.  I asked about this, as I handed over the results from my search, and was told the info they gave me came from their main office, a mere 2500 miles away.
