I would also think that the part of the country the loan was in has a lot to do with it. Prices on the coast area have traditionally been higher for almost everything than the middle of the country. Take gasoline for instantance, I know at least on the West coast it went well over $2.00 a gallon, probably the same on the East coast, but in St. Louis in came real close but I didn't see it break that mark. Also competition, with higher population density, can also drive down abstractor pricing. If you find out anything else let us know.
