Myself, I have a bit of a problem with people coming into the courthouse and taking apart books to do a scan.  I don't trust all of these people to treat the books with the respect they deserve.  If they can do a scan without taking the book apart, I have no problem.  But over the years, I've seen too many people treat the books without the proper regard to the importance of the record.
