Rather amusing in a way. I would hope that most counites could find a way to alert the examiner to the fact that some information has been shielded from the public record. It is not something I've had to deal with up here. Prior to digitalized records, this was never a concern, or something that could really be accomplished. We are certainly going through changes in the industry, and what we find and how we find it is constantly changing. I really miss just learning how to use a Cott index (the old standard here), and spending the majority of my time examining the documents, rather than running the index. In a way, all these changes in indexing has made us more valuable for certain work as we know the vagrancies of the local record. Doug
