A function of capitalism is to put in place processes that will breed innovation. i.e. completing tasks, producing items that are cheaper, faster, and functionally mutually productive for both the business producing the item and the consumer recieving the item. With that said, online searching or some kind of variation is inevitable. I would like to say that as a searcher, tradition will hold out and I can do my work comfortably in the field, instead of uncomfortably in front of a computer--but I do not think that is the case. Searching public records via the internet will happen, it may not happen overnight, but nonetheless it will happen.
Online searching will create a lot of problems until the market straightens out. Increased ability by larger search companies will probably force a lot of smaller companies out of the market creating the Wal Mart scenario. Whoever is willing to work off of the smallest profit margin will get the business. Sad, but true.
