Very good point Doug. You are exactly right. It is too late to help the people who have already been damaged or will be as a result of the wholesale export of American identities. But it isn't too late for the thousands of county clerks and recorders who have not fallen for the convenience of imaging never realizing the repurcusions it would bring to their County governments and the citizens they are sworn to protect.
One county clerk in Florida found out too late that he could be compelled to export all his digital data for distribution over the internet. He found he had lost total control over the records he was sworn to compile, index and protect. In desperation he attempted to claim Copyright over the county documents. Of course he failed but it shows the desperation he felt at haveing exposed his constituents to financial and physical harm.
