Helene you have some really good points here. My husband was a buyer for IBM for many years. He bout minuscule little parts for computers and dealt with vendors, small companies like us who many times did not get paid or had to deal with canceled orders. Those companies who tried to show integrity and help is these situations fared far better than those who took these hard line don't think your getting away with anything attitude. He did his best to make sure all his people were taken care of but unfortunately it was not always up to him. Those who stood up and showed some compassion and helped him became friends for life. It has been twenty years and he still talkes about how those people were so respectful and understood when shit happens. When one of them was on the verge of loosing her company she had friends in many places who remembered her for her help and understanding and they pitched in to save her company. To some of you perhaps that is not professional, but small business is the basis of this country and we need to help each other.
