Yep and it is a longer stretch of the legs for some than others. I just found this yesterday. I wanted to know who might agree with you. So I did a search to see who was linking to these public record sites.
Here are three examples of people who agree with you. They don't want to have to "stretch their legs" all the way to America. Now they don't have to. At the click of a mouse they can access billions of documents concerning the private lives of American citizens.

Why would the Russians have an interest in American public Records. I don’t know but they have link to Intelius at http://www.russianday.com/fqarnu/fauthor.asp?fpe=1000&msd=17222 you will most likely only find it when viewing the site in source code. You can easily find it then with the find feature.
Same question http://www.rusnetusa.com/fqarnu/fauthor.asp?fpe=1000&msd=17936 linked. Once again found in the source code
In case you don't remember Intelius is another company that shares your opinion on this. They promise to provide you with Names, Home Addesses, Dates of Birth, Neighbors, Relatives, Mortgages, Judgments, and much more all found in the online public records taken from government sites and database sites who have bought the digitized public record in bulk and published it themselves.
Do you really think for the sake of saving you a trip to the courthouse anyone should expose so many Americans to financial and physical harm?
