Just to make myself clear.  The reason my company requires a copy of ALL signing agents' Notary Stamp is to verify with the NYSNA in Albany that the lic. number presented with this individuals name/county is an actual notary lic. on file.  Anyone can order a stamp and represent themselves as notaries.  We take it very seriously.  You may also find it funny that we do background checks on most of our agents just as we do with our employees.  Again, risk management internally and externally is vital.  I don't want anyone who is immoral, unethical or dishonest representing Statewide out in the field.  Thus, we do ALL we can to try to protect ourselves, our clients and our borrower's.  It is never fool proof, but it certainly helps.
