I understand and I'm not trying to say that people should stay out of abstracting - but this is the reason why I, and others, have mentioned getting the training and experience through working for another company first.  That way, you are covered under the empoyer's E&O and when you have the necessary experience you will be able to get your own policy when you stike out on your own.

If the E&O companies aren't willing to insure those with less than 3 years of experience it probably has something to do with their claims experiences.  It is sound adivise for "newbies" to get their experience and training through on the job trianing.

Sorry, I'm not trying to be a downer.
