Is it possible that you are dealing with a condo conversion? I just did a title search in Groton, Ct two weeks ago on a conversion. It had previously been an appartment building. It was then converted to a leasehold condominium. The legal description changed at the time of the conversion because a new survey/map was created and recorded. Thereafter the declaration of condominium was withdrawn, and a new declaration for a conventional condominum was recorded retaining the same survey/map in the legal description
