That's Ok. I love it! It reminds me of a story about my grandfather.

I never knew him but I asked my father in law about him once and he hesitantly told me.

"David, some around here saw your grandfather as a hero, others feared him. He came to this county with hardly anything. One of the first things he did was to borrow a team of horses and wagon. During the winter he would go to the edge of the canyon and park the team and wagon on top. Then he would climb down the canyon and cut cedar posts that he carried back up to load onto the borrowed wagon. He sold these to the ranchers and raised money for the staples his small farm could not provide for his family, flour, sugar, and coffee.

One day, he came home from a day of cutting and hauling cedar posts to find the neighbors dog had killed two of his laying hens. His family would suffer for the loss the rest of the winter. He climbed back onto his horse, rode to the neighbors house and shot the offending dogs.

The next Saturday the neighbor rode into town and found my grandfather operating the horse drawn merry-go-round he had built and always brought to town on Saturdays for the local children to ride. The neighbor rode up cursing, spitting and threatening. Before anyone could stop him, my grandfather had draged the man off his horse. Sitting on his chest, he had his left hand tight around the neighbors throat. His right hand was busy trying to open his pocket knife with his teeth.

Several men managed to pull grandad off the neighbor. They asked him what he was going to do with the pocket knife? "I was going to cut off his ear. The man had no business cussing like that around these children".
